In this article series, I will explain the installation of Sharepoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) on Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database infrastructure. First of all, i will talk about the Sharepoint product, the topology types of Sharepoint infrastructure and differences between these topology types. After that, I will choose one of these topologies and build the infrastructure based on this topology scenario.
In the first part of the article, we explained the usage purposes of certificate services and the new improvement that comes with Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system. In addition to these, we installed certificate authority server and online provider services. In this part , we will associate the two services with each other and create certificate templates. We will also generate certificates for computers/users and revoke them as well.
In this article I will explain the installation and configuration of Certificate Services (AD CS) on Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system. Of course, a perfectly running Active Directory infrastructure is a must for a perfectly running AD CS. Forcing the usage of smart cards for logons inside enterprise networks provides enhanced security and a stronger authentication as the user PIN directly depends on the presence of another physical layer, the smart card itself. Also it is a pretty functional method of supplying couple of different AAA requirements in a single user device for multiple access types such as VPN (such like I have explained here before), remote desktop connections, digital signing or a local encryption (~ EFS).

In this article, we will build a mail infrastructure by using Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system and Exchange Server 2010 products. Network infrastructure will be as simple as it can be. Therefore we decrease the possibility of getting error. For the mail infrastructure, we will use 2 servers in total. First one will be the DNS and Domain Controller server. The other one will be used to install Exchange Server 2010 with all Exchange Server roles (Figure 1).
